China’s ports handled a total of 15.08m TEU in October, according to data published by the Ministry of Transport and reported by GCTL. This was up 8.9 per cent on October 2011, but down 5 per cent compared with the previous month. Out of this total, river ports handled 1.71m TEU, an increase of 18.4 per cent year-on-year.
In the first 10 months of 2012, China’s ports handled 146.1m TEU, an increase of 8.1 per cent year-on-year.
