IAG Cargo, created following the merger of British Airways World Cargo and Iberia Cargo, is to start a three-times-a-week cargo service between London Heathrow and Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province.
The Boeing 777 service, set to launch on 22 September 2013, will provide widebody capacity to support Chengdu’s manufacturing sector, reported Lloyd’s Loading List. Flights will depart Chengdu on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, returning from London on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
