Wuhan provides incentives to attract logistic providers

8 January 2014
Wuhan government has recently announced a package of incentives to attract the world’s top 100 logistic providers to the city. For those that choose the Hubei capital as their China headquarters or regional headquarters, the local government will provide subsidies in areas such as corporate tax, land lease, office space and human resources.

In the case of a logistics company deciding to base its China headquarters in Wuhan, bringing more than Rmb100m investment to the city, the government will grant a subsidy equivalent to five per cent of the relocation project but no more than Rmb5m. Within three years of the day the company is liable for corporation tax, the government will grant a one-off subsidy amounting to 20 per cent of the company’s total tax liability as long as the company contributes Rmb5m in tax during one of those three years.
