The world’s largest container port, Shanghai, recorded a river-sea intermodal transhipment volume of 15.27m TEU last year, an increase of 9.6 per cent. This means that transhipments accounted for 45.4 per cent of Shanghai's total throughput, 2.6 percentage points more than in 2012.
Last year, Shanghai’s container throughput increased 3.3 per cent to 33.61m TEU.
